The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies To Bake At Home

My granddaughter is coming over today….and if it turns out to be a rain day, what’s a great ‘inside’ activity? My mind usually turns to baking. Its such a great sweet reward! 🙂

What could be better and a pretty simple baked good— but the chocolate chip cookie! Its quick, pretty simple and delicious! Perfect for small hands to mix & manage the dough too.

I pondered the question…so what makes a good, easy & tastey chocolate chip cookie?! I suppose its personal taste—-do we like crispy, cake crispy, gluten free?

One of my favorite cookie recipe is Claire Saffitz x Dessert Person’s

melted butter chocolate chip cookie recipe! The are chocolatey and crispy and the depth of flavor is just YUM!

More chocolate…for me dark chocolate or at least semi-sweet chips is best, maybe add a few milk chocolate chips for flavor.

Extra vanilla, in my book always a plus! Maybe a dash of almond extract as well.

Another tip from americanheritagechocolate.com, is to add a sprinkle of sea salt to the top of the cookie… what a contract! Yum!
